My Pencil

Pencils are made out of wood, when you sharpen them they get sharp and pointy. If you sharpen them too much they will become small.

Inside pencils it is called a lead, you use the lead to draw and write with. You can break it but it is hard to break, the pencils are very useful for making things colourful.

You can write or draw with pens, felts, colour pencils and paintbrushes. You can draw or write on cardboard, paper or coloured paper.

They feel hard as a rock and are seen or found in the classroom, draws, containers and in your school office.

Pencils are shaped as circles and hexagons. You can create with the pencil as well like shading and drawing light and hard.

Pencils are better than pens because when you make a mistake you can rub it out but if you use a pen and you make a mistake you can’t rub it out. That's why pencils aa why better than pens.

Maths Reflection

This year in maths I learnt how to do time tables in a site called Xtra Maths, I did lots of new activity's in Maths whizz too. I have made my own bar graph, improving in Xtra Maths and getting  certificates for it.

Maths is my favourite subject, I really like it because it is fun and easy.  For Addition and Subtraction I am at Stage 6.

NZ Sign Language Awareness

This week is NZ Sign Language Awareness week. Today Room 3 learnt to say their name in NZ Sign Language. 

My Mother

I’m writing about my amazing Mum for mothers day.

She works at NZMA at Panmure and she comes back home with food that she has cooked. My Mum likes to weave but she dislikes noise and people waking her up when she’s sleeping. She has black eyes as the night sky’s, she has brown has as chocolate.

My Mum is special because there is no one in the whole wide world like her.
