TROLLS

It was a cold windy night in the darkest jungle in the world. The wind was very strong, and loud. There were two small trolls. There was a pink troll, and a blue troll. The pink troll had a guitar and started playing, while she was playing the blue troll was trying to sleep.

The blue troll woke up and he was furious. He shouted at her to go to bed. He went back to bed mad. But she refused to listen to him. So instead of listening, she carried on playing on her guitar, and singing at the same time.

She sang so loud, she woke up the entire jungle. The jungle loved her voice so much, that they joined in with her. This time the blue troll was very furious, he shouted very loudly. “STOP!!” everyone stop. He took the guitar off her and threw it into the fire and shouted. “GO TO BED!!!”

MY OPINION:

I really don't think anything, because if they did compete they would've did all the sports the men did, which is fighting, boxing etc. But then again I also think that women should have been allowed to contribute, or even watch because, women back them had a lot of power against men and could've done a lot better, and the also should've been allowed to watch, because it would've so boring for the women to just stay at home and clean.

Activity 2: For this activity we have to find 3 interesting facts about 'Milo of Croton'. Below are 3 interesting facts I found out about 'Milo of Croton' 

 (Fact 1) -  Milo of Croton was a wrestler in the 6th century BC.

 (Fact 2) - Milo of Croton fought in the army

 (Fact 3) - His time of death was unknown, but its is believed that he was trying to cut down a tree, but his hand got stuck, and a pack of wolves, devoured him.

Day 1. Winter Journey Activity

Activity 1: In this activity, the sport I would compete in is Boxing. I choose this activity because, all the other activity consists of running, or throwing, and I can't run well, and my throwing is really terrible. I feel I would be very comfortable in fighting, because I am really big, and I don't go down easily.

Book Character Day

Today was Book Day. For Book Day we all had to dress up in our favourite book characters. But me, and a few other boys, came in our favourite video game characters. My video game character was a Creeper, from the game Minecraft. Minecraft is a game about creating your own world, and you can do anything, and everything.

Overall I thought everyone dressed up really nice. My favourite person who dressed up was Richie. He was my favourite because he dressed up as Wally, from the book, Find Wally.

Marae Recount

Marae Recount

On Tuesday 14th May 2016, it was my first ever time going to a Marae.

The marae I went to was the Ruapotaka Marae, which is just behind the Glen Innes Library. My favourite part of the trip, was near the end. This was my favourite part, because we sang a song, but all the words were in Maori. This was also my favourite part, because instead of having a dvd to sing to, we had a man play with the guitar.

This trip was really fun, and I can’t wait for the future, to see if I will ever visit another Marae.
